Formed in the early ‘00s, The Districts have made quite a name for themselves for only being teenagers. "Telephones", their first album, was released in 2012. The band quickly shot up in the PA music scene and spent 2013 playing shows and writing songs. In 2014 they released a highly anticipated self-titled EP. Their influences, Dylan and the Lumineers earned them notoriety from Rolling Stone, setting the tone for a whirlwind year that included their first SXSW showcase, a stint on tour with White Denim, and an appearance at the Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco. Now, the band has released their second album “A Flourish and A Spoil” and have been featured in an interview for Consequence of Sound, as well as making their TV debut with their recent performance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. The Districts are now setting off on a full US Tour, as well as playing festivals all over the states and overseas. "Much of A Flourish And A Spoil is disarming like that: The Districts' cathartic rock music rages in familiar ways, with an unexpectedly devastating twist of the knife every now and then. The music is proudly sloppy and artfully bloodthirsty, but it's never just monochromatic brute-force fury.." UPCOMING TOUR DATES
"This isn’t the band as a finished product, rather a snapshot of them as they began to understand their power. A freshly squeezed record with the pulp left in it." FIND OUT MORE! - FACEBOOK - FAT POSSUM RECORDS - WEBSITE -
